A childhood friend of Eli's, one of his only friends due to extreme hatred he faced as a child for being Irish. As an adult he chooses a hard life, becoming a bit of a gangster. He ends up becoming kind of his drug dealer in a sense, finding Eli the harder drugs when herbs and teas start having no affect on his illness (breathing troubles, coughing blood etc) and his pain. Faolan is worried for his friend but they both know Eli is on borrowed time anyway, so Faolan agrees to help, even if it just eases Eli's pain a little bit.

Personality-wise he's a crude kind of ladies man, never quite settling down, and will flirt with men too just to make them annoyed, angry or flustered. But being high up in his gang nobody really dares speak out against him, thus the gang also leaves Eli alone as well.
