Brothel Days

Another side of Dante I've been wanting to show for a while now. In his younger days Dante was a male prostitute. (In 1800s Victorian England getting a job was difficult & his parents were already social pariah in the community. His options were incredibly limited. not to mention his heritage was mixed as well. )

He didn't hate it all the time, but there were times when it would become too much & his emotions would get the better of him. (He had some baaaad clients. )

'Dante's bitter tears stained the satin pillow in front of him. No tears... he told himself. He couldn't have red, puffy eyes if another client walked in! His punishment would be worse then the last one. He shuddered thinking about it and rolled on his stomach. The tears kept falling. He told himself over and over there was only one reason he would put up with such treatment....no, he wouldn't allow himself to think about that right now.

And should he really be feeling so bad? It was a job after all...it offered good pay...but only if the night themselves were good.

There was a knock on the door and Dante stifled another sob. The pillow muffled his cries.

Again? So soon? he just wanted some rest for once.....'
