Bedtime

Gift for my friend whose dealing with the evil stress of exams. Hang in there, dear! Anyway these cuties are her two characters (who I haven't drawn together in forever) Stuart and his adopted mermaid daughter Psiche. Psiche is fearful and scared, it being one of the early days of living on land for her. Stuart tries cheering her up with some warm milk.  

The painting style I wanted a more gritty feel, as I doubt Stuart cleans much in his house. lols. But I also wanted a warm, inviting tone.
